Modular Floating Systems
CanDock can work around existing permanent docks, pilings, seawalls, and marina infrastructure to create drive-on access, floating platforms, or a larger layout.

South Haven • Black River
Beach Bumz designs waterfront systems around the property you already have — from drive-on PWC access and modular floating docks to boat lifts and custom covered-slip solutions. We serve South Haven from nearby Paw Paw, Michigan.
Property-First Planning
South Haven properties may already include permanent docks, pilings, marina slips, seawalls, and other infrastructure. Beach Bumz evaluates what is already there before determining which equipment, or combination of equipment, makes sense.
Flexible Waterfront Design
The goal is not to force the waterfront into one system. It is to design the system around the waterfront.
CanDock can work around existing permanent docks, pilings, seawalls, and marina infrastructure to create drive-on access, floating platforms, or a larger layout.
Depending on the property, we can evaluate a freestanding ShoreStation lift, a custom pile-mounted canopy system, or a configuration paired with floating equipment.
Certain highly customized piling applications may incorporate sectional dock components. This is a site-specific possibility, not a standard configuration.
South Haven Projects
Beach Bumz installed three drive-on systems in South Haven during 2026, including marina and slip applications on the Black River. Modular CanDock and drive-on systems can provide access for PWCs or compatible boats while working around infrastructure that is already in place — without automatically requiring its removal.

Boat Protection
A freestanding ShoreStation boat lift may be an option on the right property. Suitability depends on water depth, bottom conditions, slip dimensions, existing pilings, boat specifications, and equipment access; it should not be assumed for every Black River site.
Beach Bumz also has substantial experience with custom pile-mounted ShoreStation Revolution canopy systems and ShoreScreens for overhead and side protection. We can evaluate custom canopy applications around existing pilings, traditional dock systems, or CanDock when the site allows.

Conditions can change from one property to another. At one of our recent Black River installations, we worked in approximately five feet of water with a firm bottom. Another property may have different depth, bottom conditions, pilings, seawalls, slip dimensions, or access.
Depending on the individual site, a plan might include a freestanding boat lift, drive-on PWC system, modular CanDock layout, custom canopy configuration, traditional dock components, or a combination of systems. The decision follows the property — not a general assumption about the river.
Complete Waterfront Planning
Rather than automatically duplicating the current setup, Beach Bumz can look at the entire waterfront and identify opportunities to make the property work better today and in the future.
When appropriate, that plan may combine traditional dock equipment with floating or drive-on components.
Local Southwest Michigan Experience
Beach Bumz is based in Paw Paw, roughly 30 minutes from South Haven. Our team has lived in Southwest Michigan for decades and has spent years around South Haven and the lakeshore. Today, we're also actively installing waterfront equipment in the area, including three drive-on systems completed in South Haven during 2026.
